After watching the caterpillars transform into beautiful butterflies, the children were able to finally release them. The toddlers were good at holding their pointer fingers out to let the butterfly crawl on their finger & quietly watched it fly away. The primary preschoolers were very excited to see the butterfly fly! They chased after both butterflies as they fluttered away. 
It was a great learning opportunity for them to visually see the transformation of each stage of the butterfly process!
